Why I built this
I needed daily posts. I refused to become a full-time creator.
Content drives my inbound, but I'm running a business, not chasing a creator career. Every tool I tried either wrote like a stranger, or turned posting into a second job.
So I built the system I wanted. It learns how I actually write, watches the people I compete with, and leaves three angles on my desk every morning, with the receipts. It's the system that grew my Instagram past 62,000 and my newsletter to 9,000 subscribers. Cohl is that system, packaged so it runs on your machine.

Does it work when my Mac is off?
The overnight sync runs while the app is open — launch-at-login makes that automatic. Nothing runs in the cloud, and nothing is lost: your files wait exactly where you left them.
Does Cohl post for me?
No, and that's deliberate. The AI proposes, you apply. Every draft, idea, and brand edit lands only when you click. You publish; Cohl does the thinking.
macOS says the app can't be verified
It's unsigned because we're indie. System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Takes 20 seconds.
Why do I bring my own API keys?
Because you're not buying credits. Other tools meter you at 100 actions a month. Analyze 500 videos if you want. You pay pennies of metered cost, not a subscription tier — and the app's usage dashboard shows every run and exactly what it cost.
What do I need to run it?
A Claude or ChatGPT subscription (or API keys for either), plus Apify and Groq keys for scraping and transcription. Setup is walked through on your onboarding call.
Where does my data live?
On your machine, in a folder you own. There is no Cohl cloud and nothing is synced or stored anywhere else. Privacy isn't a policy here, it's the architecture. Cancel and it's still yours.
Is my data secure?
There is nothing to breach. Cohl has no cloud: your voice, your drafts and your market data live in a folder on your machine, and your API keys stay in your own accounts. We couldn't see your content if we wanted to.
Does it measure leads?
No. It tracks views, followers, and what's working in your own content. Inbound is what that produces, not a number in the app.
